Top 5 Cruelty-Free Foundations & Concealers for Fall
Although we all may still be in denial, fall is finally here! It felt like last week I was finding the perfect crop top to wear to the beach, and now I find myself pulling out all my sweaters and pants. With the change in season, it’s time to change the wardrobe and switch up our products. Fall means the start of classes and coming back to reality after an amazing vacation and getting back to work. With busy schedules, people want quicker beauty routines. The “no make up-make up look” (looking as though you have a flawless face without looking as though you applied any make up) is the perfect look for every day. To achieve this flawless face look you’ll need the perfect face products. So here are my top 5 picks for foundations and concealers this fall.
BareMinerals BareSkin Foundation – This foundation is perfect for light to medium coverage. To me, this foundation is comparable to a CC cream. It also has been proven to correct those pesky dark spots we may have gotten from too much fun in the sun this summer. Fun Fact: This foundation comes in 20 different shades! *It should be noted that while BareMinerals is cruelty-free, their parent company is not.
e.l.f. Studio Concealer – While I don’t use this concealer for under eye, this creamy concealer stick from e.l.f. makes contouring and highlighting a breeze. It’s also perfect for covering up blemishes and imperfections.
Shea Moisture CC Cream – This CC cream is truly a steal, and you can totally score it at Target. It gives medium coverage without feeling heavy. It also has SPF in it to protect your skin and serves as a great primer if you’re looking for more coverage. Adding a CC cream like this your morning routine in place of a “full face” will speed up your beauty routine tremendously.
Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Foundation– An oldie but a goodie. This foundation is my bread and butter (in the most vegan way possible). It’s super light with great coverage. It doesn’t feel like you’re wearing any makeup when you apply it, but will cover any imperfection you may have. *It should be noted that while Urban Decay is cruelty-free, their parent company is not.
Tarte’s Creaseless Concealer – Enough good things cannot be said about this full-coverage concealer. I ventured out into the world with this concealer and no setting powder to really test its “creaseless abilities,” and it definitely passed the test! I use this concealer for my under eye dark circles, and it instantly makes me look more awake (which we all need in our lives). Tip: A little goes a long way with this concealer! Half of a pea size will do the trick! *It should be noted that while Tarte is cruelty-free, their parent company is not.
